The proper way to start the day, and the most important meal of the day!

Breakfast at Kethla House is relaxed and informal. It is our favourite part of running a bed and breakfast... We love the chance to interact with our guests and love also how the dynamics of every breakfast are different, as guests meet and chat and share experiences. Whether guests are checking out straight after breakfast or staying on, our aim is to deliver a breakfast experience that is second to none, both in the food and in the ambience. When our guests are leaving for the day, filled and content, and when the atmosphere through breakfast has been cheery and relaxed, that is when we are happiest. In fact, we have a routine for such days - for Sade will say to Jonathan, "We are not joking here, Daddy!" and we'll high five (and then come down to earth for the washing up...!).

Breakfast is served at half-hourly sittings between 8 and 9. 30. Cereals, yoghurts and juices are always available on the sideboard, and we have a variety of other "specials" subject to availability. The main event, of course, is the full English, but we pride ourselves on an unusually wide choice of cooked breakfasts, including smoked fish (salmon, or kippers), Eggs Benedict (with homemade hollandaise sauce), as well as a lavish continental breakfast option (with freshly baked pastries, pancakes and a selection of fruits). Subject to availability, and workload, we are also happy to customise choices - so build your own full (or even half!) English; or convert your Eggs Benedict to an Eggs Royale or Eggs Florentine...

All the food is cooked to order (we don't precook and keep warm - it is straight from pan to plate). We therefore ask guests to pre-order breakfast the evening before and to stick to their booked breakfast times.
