What a lovely house stayed for two nights nothing to faultroom was spotless bed comfortable, breakfast amazing host very helpful. Short walk from sea front also good bus service nearby.

Nice for a short stay
Very clean, room nice and well equipped - modern and many sockets, hairdryer with long cable, fridge. Bathroom small and with very little storage space. I found the towels too small and thin. Breakfast ok, parking lot rather for smaller cars. Everything very well maintained and nice hosts

We really loved this guest house. It was so friendly and welcoming. The room was beautiful and had everything we needed. We especially loved the fresh pancakes at breakfast - delicious!

Holiday with my sister
The accommodation was extremely clean and well decorated. The breakfasts were hot and a large portion. The owners were friendly and informative about the local area.The only downside was the parking was limited.

Had the most amazing stay at Kethla House Hotel, the room we stayed in with our little girl was lovely and comfortable. Breakfast is really good with so many options and great that there are 2 sittings. We can’t wait to come back in October 😊

Excellent stay exceptional hosts
Stayed at Kethla House in Torquay for four nights the room was very comfortable and the hosts Jonathan and Sade were so pleasant could not have asked for a nicer couple the breakfast was awesome and everything was just perfect. I was sad upon leaving and I promise I will return highly recommended.

My husband is disabled and we stayed in a large comfortable ground floor room. Sadie and Jonathan were very accommodating to my husbands needs. They are the perfect hosts. Breakfast was amazing and the hospitality was second to none. I would highly recommend Kethla B&B.

Lovely place to stay with helpful owners. Good location not too far from main routes and local attractions. Spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Comfy, king-size bed. Would be happy to return and highly recommend.

The small touches and details in terms of noting down your reason for staying and making good recommendations of where to go was really nice. Excellent Stay
We have stayed in many Torquay B&Bs over the years and Kethla house ceetainly rates in the top quality sector.Our room was spacious and super clean with everything we could need supplied.We found free parking close by as adised by Sade and the seafront is a quick walk away..perfect for us attending the theatre.Breakfast was super fresh and excellent.Thank you both again.We would not hesitate to return.

Fun Filled family break
Jonathan and Sade were Excellent hosts, very friendly and welcoming. Very pleasant, well decorated rooms with comfortable beds.Kethla House is well located, about a 10 minutes walk to the seafront and 15 mins to town. Also about a 10 min drive to most tourist attractions such a the Model Village and Paignton Zoo.

Wonderful
We had only one night with you, but found the guest house very clean and the hostess was very pleasant and helpful.One area which is a problem with the location is the lack of parking 🅿️.However, we were very fortunate and was able to park on a road which was close to the premises.

A beautiful place to stay
My husband and I had an overnight stay at Kethla House and we'll definitely go back.From the friendly welcome at the door, the decor, perfectly presented room and the amazing breakfast, the whole experience was excellent.10 out of 10 all-round

Lovely stay in Torquay
We absolutely loved our stay at Kethla House. The room was nice and clean with all the facilities you would expect. But what really lifted the experience were the hosts Jonathan and Sade. A more welcoming and nice hosting couple would be hard to imagine. Fantastic home made cooking for breakfast and great tips on what to do in Torquay. This is a sure winner and we will definately recommend it.

Best Guest House we have ever stayed in. Prime location, easy access to public transport. Hosts were so efficient and so accomodating in all respects. The decore was so stylish and everything was spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were fabulous. Would highly recommend

Good Location and kind host
Kethla House is situated in a good location with easy access to the seaside and town center. Jonathan and Sade are good host. I would recommend this accommodation to everyone visiting Torquay.

Fantastic location
Thank you Jon and Sade, you couldn’t have made our stay any more enjoyable .Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful, hotand delicious.The location was perfect for seeing sights in Torquay, we used the ferry, which was a short walk to the harbour, to get to Brixham and a lovely 45 minute walk into Paignton.

Ideally situated & a great breakfast
My husband and I stayed for just a couple of days to relax and celebrate our wedding anniversary. Ketlas House is decorated to a high standard and very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, my husband had the full English but I was smitten by the continental definitely worth a try. Planning to stay again but perhaps in a larger room next time.

Amazing B&B in Torquay
Stayed at the Kethla House from Friday - Monday May Whitsun. Everything about this B&B was brilliant. Spotless, modern rooms. Freshly-cooked, hot breakfast with a variety of choice to suit. Friendly, polite family who make you feel welcome. Close to the town and beach. Thank you to the Kethla House family for an enjoyable stay. Will definitely return 👍.

Lovely family stay
This BB is in a great location with only a short walk to the seafront. The owners of Kethla house were very attentive and explained everything with a friendly positive outlook. The room was perfect for our stay (a family of four) with a double bed and bunk beds for the kids. Everything was very clean and in good order and the breakfast with various options was of a high quality. On the whole very glad we stayed at Kethla house

Extremely worth staying here!
This is the second time I have stayed at the Kethla guest house… my friend took me there in feb for my 60 th… and because it was such a lovely place, clean , breakfast was superb and the hosts couldnot have done anymore to make our stay perfect! …. So i decided to re visit the guest house with my partner on Friday 17 th may until Monday 20 th may… my partner was just aspleased as i was with our stay!I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it! … location is extremely good aswel!

Great stay
I came with a friend as we had a planned night out to attend. Hosts were very friendly and went through the breakfast options with us when we got there. Fire alarm, exits etc all explained as well as the keys for the doors. Shown to our room which was lovely & clean. Breakfast was lovely. All round great stay & a happy pair of guests. Thank you.

Myself, husband and children 7 and 5 stayed here for 1 night. We couldn't fault a thing. We had a lovely welcome by Sade, offering us a hot drink or juice after our journey to Torquay. When we'd finished, she shown us too our room and even helped carry one of our bags. The room was lovely. The beds were comfy and nicely decorated.The breakfast was delicious, Sade was so attentive checking if we'd like more drinks etc.We will definitely return. Thank you so much for a lovely stay

What a perfect find. Such a lovely Guest House. Sadie was so welcoming and went out of her way to provide everything we needed.A lovely, spotlessly clean room with gorgeous toiletries and a well stocked mini fridge and snack tray ( everything was very reasonably priced)Tea and coffee tray provided and also a full size hairdryer.Breakfast cooked by Jonathan was so tasty with an amazing choice. absolutely no need for lunch!!

Wonderful stay
We had a lovely stay at Kethla house. Our room was a great lay out for our family with bunk beds for the children and very clean. The fridge with options to buy snacks was very useful. Breakfast was delicious and John and Sade went out of their way to provide food our children would like. They were very welcoming and we cant fault our stay.

One night stay
Due to running late the host was very accommodating.Very clean.Breakfast had a lot to choose fromie full English, cerealsetc.On the downside they do have parking but on a firstome first serve basis.We had to park in the local area.

Well, wow wow wow ...kethla guest house is a fantastic , warm and welcoming place... they cannot do enough for you, breakfast is amazing, and cooked fresh for you while you dive into your cereal. Cooked to how you ask for it, comes out really hot, along with nice hot toast , and tea, coffee to how you liking ...Lovely comfortable bed, kettle, fridge, bathrooms are spotlesly clean , no need for shampoo, conditioner,or shower wash, it's all there for you. You come and go as you wish , your own key for entrance,no matter what time you get in at night.My friend has already booked for her and her partner to return in July before we even left. Honestly if you want a lovely guest house to stay in this is the place to stay.All positive vibes ... there is nothing I can say that wasn't 100%.I'll definitely be staying again 👏😍 thank you kethla guest house 🏡amazing xx

A very warm welcoming and shown to my room which was very clean and tidy. the bathroom was small but had everything I needed. very quiet at night despite being on a main road. breakfast was very good and a wide choice. would recommend staying here.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at Kethla House and again it was spot on! Everything was clean & you could smell that it was clean too! The hosts were very polite as always & even recognised us from when we stayed in the summer. The breakfast was lovely & it has a very homely feel.The o my little negative I had was the people in the room next to us was ridiculously loud at silly times in the morning that kept us awake or woke us up but that’s not the hosts fault.Will be staying there again 😁

Wow!
The title says it all. Lovely room, very comfortable had everything you needed and more including a mini fridge filled with non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks with various snacks with we thought was a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. There were pubs on the doorstep and a 15 minute walk to the centre of town with all the shops, cafes and restaurants and of course the harbour/marina. Torquay really is a gem and Johnathon and Sade are fabulous hosts. We have stayed in many b and b's and can honestly say this is the best. Looking forward to coming back ☺️

Great mini break
You cannot beat Devon for a few days away and Kethla House really added value to it. The room was clean and spacious, access was easy, parking was available, the bus stop close by, the beach 10 minute slow walk downhill and the breakfast - plenty of variety and plenty of it - all well cooked to order.Really worth the stay. I would have absolutely no reservations recommending Kethla House, ideal location, lovely hosts and a great nights sleep!

Would recommend anyone to come I was travelling with myself my husband and out young daughter (6 Months) and nothing was ever an issue even if she didn’t sleep the best first night!!!The rooms were clean and spacious and breakfast was just brilliant. It felt a really warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere.I would recommend to family and friends in a heartbeat.

Kethla House Hotel
Hospitable owners who have thought of everything guests could need, even down to some nibbles and drinks purchasable from the room’s mini fridge. Comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast. Parking is tight with only 3 spaces at the back but would recommend.

We stayed for 3 nights.The room was spotless and a fan was provided for the room as it was very warm . Location was great all within walking d8stance to seafront and town . We got the buses to Teignmouth and Paignton as they were more or less situated outside the property.Breakfast was superb and nothing was too much trouble for the guests ..

Perfect in every way
Our host was most charming and welcoming on arrival and took the time to explain the workings of this beautiful house. It was a beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean place. It was well appointed and in walking distance to the harbour, shops and restaurants. A perfect place to stay on Torquay

Ten great days
We had a very enjoyable 10days at kethlahouse. Jonathan gave us a lovely breakfast every day and sade looked after us verywell. Our room was spotless and we had fresh towels and bedding every few days. There was a fridge in our room and it had snacks and drinks we could purchase. Also we had fresh milk to put in fridge everyday. We have already booked to go back next year. Jonathan and sadeare a lovely couple and they put there all into kethla house

Really enjoyed our stay. The lady of the house was absolutely lovely always happy and looked after us at breakfast time. The breakfast was great. Our room was big and really clean. The bed was really comfy. Would highly recommend anyone staying there.

We stayed here for 2 nights (1st & 2nd) September. It was to celebrate our 22yr anniversary and to attend a wedding on the Saturday. From arrival Sade made us feel very welcome. Check it was easy and organised. The room was lovely and clean. And a mini bar was available at a cost. Shower products were supplied which was a nice touch.The only negative would be the road noise. We live in the country and used to the quiet nights. As it was warm we had the window open. (There was a fan supplied but preferred fresh air.) so was quite noisy. But would not put us off staying here again.Breakfast was amazing. Freshly cooked for your allocated time. We certainly did not leave hungry. Jonathan was very friendly on serving breakfast.We would highly recommend this lovely Guest House.

Really enjoyed our stay in Kethla. The hosts, Jonathan and Sade, were very friendly and welcoming, we felt very comfortable.The guest house is clean, great location in the heart of Torquay, just a few minutes walk from the seafront, shops and food places.

We stayed at this b and b from Friday to Monday, first time ever in a b and b, absolutely fantastic, room was lovely clean and big, breakfast all we can say is WOW, you can have a choice of full English, egg Benedict, cereals etc, the full English was superb, the sausages were beautiful cooked to perfection, the owners were so lovely and made you feel so welcome, we highly recommend this b and b and will most definitely stay again, if it was a rating out of 10 it’s definitely s 10.

The guest house is outstanding, the room was lovely with very good quality furniture and furnishings, very comfortable bed with good quality bedding and extremely clean. A very well stocked mini bar in the room, the best I have ever seen anywhere, although we were only one night and didn't need anything. The toiletry products are really lovely and good quality, loved them. All the little finishing touches were appreciated. The breakfast was plentiful and very good with fresh coffee. The house is in a very good location with a short walk down to the sea front. It was a little noisy with traffic as we were at the front but it is to be expected and I had earplugs. There are also free earplugs available on the downstairs hallway if you need some. We would definitely recommend this guest house and would happily book again to stay there. It is very well maintained and obvious that the owners want you to have a very pleasant stay there. Lovely inside and outside.

Really nice two night stay, was welcomed and looked after the whole time, nothing was too much. Minibar is a brilliant little touch. Breakfast was very good. Only slight negative point was unable to get a parking space with spaces very limited. And shower wasn’t the best but manageable. But apart from that really great stay.

Short Break Stop Over
Great little B&B in a perfect location to visit and explore the Torbay area.Sade and Johnathan are the perfect hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Our room was clean tidy and very satisfying to stay in. Breakfast was hot tasty and plentiful we couldn’t fault it in any way. The little snack/drinks bar in your room is a very clever and useful addition.If we do return to the Torbay area in the future then we wouldn’t hesitate in booking at The Kethla.

Lovely hotel
We stayed here for 2 nights and couldn’t have asked for anymore from out stay. We were made very welcome and offered our room 1 hour early as we arrived before expected.When going to the beach the lovely lady gave my children some cookies, drinks and a bucket and spade to use to save me buying one.Breakfast was lovely, great choice of food and the children really enjoyed their pancakes 😊Rooms were spacious enough for us, very clean and everything you need.Location is quiet central, 5 minute walk to town. Only downside is that you have to walk up a hill to get back from town. This was fine for us but for someone who isn’t too good on their legs it could be a problem.Overall, a great experience and would recommend to anyone.

Such a lovely warm welcome from Sade,Kethla House is immaculate our room was lovely and bed really comfortable nice touch having refreshments and snacks available to purchase.Breakfast was excellent good quality food cooked by Jonathan and served by Sade who was always cheerful and bubbly.

Excellent Facility
This B&B is top quality in a good location about 10-15min walk from the harbourside. The decor and maintenance of the property is top class clean and functional with some nice touches (eg fridge in the wardrobe). Parking is difficult as is everywhere in Torquay, there are 3 spaces at the rear of the property that are very tight to use. We parked on a road about 5 mins walk away.Johnathon and Sadie are wonderful hosts, thoughtful, knowledgeable and very well organised. Breakfast was fantastic and filling.Well done both!

Beautiful in all aspects of our stay
I am pleased to say that our stay for 4 nights (2 adults group) was beautiful, our rooms were well equipped and a fridge full of charged refreshments if required. Rooms and shower wc were perfectly clean, providing room service & fresh towels if needed. Also two back rooms which we had peaceful nights rest. Breakfasts was out of this world and extremely hearty, Sade was lovely and very obliging she even provided me with brown sugar 😊 I'd definitely recommend to family and friends.

We stayed for one night. We were warmly welcomed. Our room and the house is very tastefully decorated, we particularly liked different colour fluffy towels in our en suite. Well stocked mini bar. Very competitively priced. Breakfast excellent. Good quality produce and not plastic sachets! There are only 3 parking spaces at the back. But you can park in the street for free at certain times. We found it was central to what we wanted. Beach and shops bout 15min walk away. But uphill on the way back !! Lovely Chinese around the corner and the pub on the next corner very good

Absolutely beautiful!
What a fabulous place! We were met by Sade, who gave us a very warm welcome and told us everything we needed to know. The house is spotlessly clean, when I say spotless I mean sparkling! It is decorated to a very high standard and smells beautiful as soon as you walk through the door. All this is down to Sade who meticulously keeps the place to a extremely high standard. The breakfast was perfect, the best eggs Benedict I ever had! Well done Jonathan 10/10. The full English is just as good with excellent quality ingeredients used and plenty of it. As much toast, orange juice and coffee/tea as you would like and a fabulous continental breakfast, which included, pancakes, fresh fruit and pastries. I highly recommend a visit to Kethla House, even just to meet the lovely Sade and Jonathon who were perfect hosts. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

I have been working in Torquay and have stayed here twice. It really is the sweetest little place. Clean, comfortable, easy to find and above all friends and welcoming. The breakfast is lovely too! From the moment you arrive you are taken care of and have everything you need. As a single female traveller a sense of safety is really important to me (along with all the other aspects I have mentioned) and Kethla really does feel like a home from home. Highly recommend.

We stayed for 1 night in order to attend the West England Brass band Competition. The bedrooms were well furnished including a mini bar of goodies. The breakfast was excellent in some may respects but in particular, the quality, selection and attention to detail.

We were welcomed in and had a chat and given information which was helpful. Don took our breakfast order for the next day which had lots of choices.Our twin room was lovely and spacious with a compact bathroom.The decor was good and the beds comfortable.There was a hairdryer provided and welcome pack and a fan should we need it.Breakfast was beautiful.Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Myself and my husband stayed at Kethla House as a part of a bigger party to celebrate my Dad's 60th Birthday.Nothing was too much for the staff. I wish I could remember the name of the lovely lady who served (and cooked one day) breakfast to us as she was very accommodating.The owners ensured that all of us as a family could sit and have breakfast at the same time which was very kind.Breakfast was amazing! Top quality food and plenty of it, we were even offered more options once we'd finished eating.It was a very hot few days and we were provided with bottled water at breakfast and even offered some juice when we came back to the B&B one afternoon.The lovely lady who I mentioned before even went out of her way to provide Nutella for my neice and nephew which I thought was extremely kind.The room we had was tidy, clean and ideal for the two of us.If we're ever in Torquay again we wouldn't hesitate in staying at this lovely B&B.

Great stay at Kethla
Jonathon and Sade were amazing hosts. Very friendly and chatty. Sade even took us to the train station on departure day. Breakfast was first class. Such a wide choice and all cooked to perfection. Bottle of water offered each day as well which was a nice touch.Bathroom was on the small side and bath towels were a big small and could have been better quality but not really a problem just a suggestion. You had to choose your breakfast the day before by filling in a form. Again not a problem but sometimes you are not sure what you will fancy to eat the next day.Overall they are doing an amazing job and would definitely return.

Just got back from a stunning holiday inTorquay were we stayed at kethla House for 3 nights bed and breakfast as a family of 2 adults and 2 children. The hosts Jonathan and sade were very welcoming and helpful with lots of information regarding parking and directions to places. The room was brilliant very clean and well stocked with tea and coffee and towels etc. Jonathans breakfast were the best and sade well she is very attentive and nothing is to much trouble. Wonderful holiday

Excellent service
Our visit to Kethla Guest House was prompted by family illness. As a result we had to make sudden arrangements to accommodate seven family members (including one 9-month-old baby) near Torquay hospital.Jonathan and Sade showed great kindness in responding to our needs, including catering for our changing room requirements over the few days of our visit. Returning late one evening we were surprised and touched to be presented with a snack and drinks.Everything about Kethla House exceeded expectations and we hope to have the opportunity to return in calmer circumstances in the future.Thank you.

Weekend
We had a nice time at Kethla Guest House. The atmosphere was family-like. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Rooms kept in perfect cleanliness. The breakfasts are very rich and tasty. Great variety of food. I would highly recommend.

Wir haben uns im Kethla House sehr wohl gefühlt. Julie hat uns sehr liebevoll empfangen. Auch das Zimmer war sehr schön, gemütlich und sauber eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist sehr zu empfehlen. Die Pancakes waren selbstgemacht und mit frischem, leckerem Obst garniert. Das Kethla House ist durchaus weiterzuempfehlen.

Wonderful stay!
Lovely stay at Kethla House. We, as a family, spent 5 amazing days during which Sade and Jonathan went the extra mile. Breakfast on time and perfectly cooked. Room was cleaned and well arranged each time. They gave us useful advice on interesting attractions to visit in Torquay. Surprisingly, they were even available late in the night when we needed to use the breakfast room. It is obvious that they put a lot of effort in making the guests feel at home. And to be honest, we were actually at home. The children loved it at Kethla House. 100% recommendable.

Very clean and tidy. Hosts were very friendly. Our room was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Highly recommended.

Hosts were 11/10.Lovely size room, very clean.Breakfast a good variety of options to start the day.Within walking distance to the seafront, adventure golf. Couple of local shops by the guest House too.No parking on site but we managed to park nearby without any issues over a bank holiday weekend.Wish we could've stayed longer!! We will look to book here again on our return to Torquay.

Excellent Hosts.
Sade and Johnathan were perfect host. Sade welcomed us with a warm and friendly manner. Showed us into the breakfast room where we had refreshments and did essential paperwork. We also had the chance to meet the other guests too. which was nice .We were shown to our room and everything was explained to us in detail. Our room was very large bright and airy. Everything was spotless.The breakfast was superb and freshley cooked.The hosts took the time to talk to us every time we saw them.Highly recommend Kethla House.

We had a brilliant stay here, from being greeted at the door on arrival by the lovely Julie. the room was lovely very clean and plenty of coffee and tea and clean towels every day. the breakfast was fabulous cereals cooked breakfast and toast with choice of coffee and tea served my the lovely Don and cooked by Julie. we will definitely be back.

Excellent short break
Stayed wednesday through to sunday, on arrival we had a friendly welcome from Don & Julie, Don showed us to our room which was a lovely light and airy large room. The room(number 6) was spotlessly clean with a flat screen tv and kettle with tea/ coffee etc. The ensuite shower room was modern with toiletries supplied and nice soft fluffy towels. The daily breakfast was excellent with pleanty of choice, more than enough to set you up for the day, Don's banter and Julie's excellent cooking made for a brilliant short break. We would definitely choose 'kethla house' on our next visit to torquay, thanks Don & Julie

Weekend away
We stayed three night at the kethla and as soon has you walk through the door you are made very welcome. The rooms have everything you need and are very clean and welcoming, the breakfast is lovely and very well presented. Nothing is to much trouble . Wonderful stay
This was our very first experience of staying in a B & B and we were not disappointed at all.The room was fine and in a great location with shops nearby and seafront some 10mins walk.But for us the highlight were the owners Don and Julie. They couldn't have done enough for us. A friendly text on the day we were coming to alert us to the parking. Then such good welcome when we finally arrived. Don gave us excellent tips on what to see. Julie made the most amazing breakfast and they catered for me as I asked for something that was not on their menu. We felt totally at ease and so well cared for. Thank you so much! We had a great time recently staying for 4 nights at Kethla House in lovely Torquay. Don & Julie are very welcoming, and a lovely couple. The hotel is very clean, the bed was very comfy, and the breakfasts were delicious! Car parking was available at the rear of the hotel.

a few days break
we arrived too early but was still able to park our car in their carpark whilst we had a walk down to Torquay seafront, we came back and was given a warm welcome, the room was clean and comfortable, great breakfast in the morning and the hosts even went out of their way to get my missus some tinned tomatoes to go with it. Great value for money all round.

Lovely stay
Would recommend Kethla House to everyone, very clean, lovely breakfast and excellent hosts who could not do enough for us. Good central location, 15 mins walk to front where all the bars and restaurants are. We will be back, thank you very much Don and Julie xx

Top Notch
Fantastic stay, room very clean. Although facing the road there was very little road noise. Beds comfortable. But what really made it were the hosts, fantastic customer service and the breakfast was superb. I must say having looked around, the cost was super competitive. Highly recommended, just feel sorry for Don...he has to support Pompey! If staying in Torquay you would have to work hard to find better.

If your visiting Torquay, check out this B&B, it is superb.On arrival your greeted by Don who shows you the safety aspects of the property and then off to your room. Immediately you notice the cleanliness and superb decor in the room, very spacious with en suite. I’ve stayed in a 5 star hotel in Torquay and this B&B is far better. After a comfortable nights sleep off to breakfast and wow what an amazing full English prepared by Julie, included was tea, coffee, toast, cereal etc. Location was excellent just 10 minutes walk to beachfront and a little further to town centre. A huge thank you to Don and Julie for making both mine and Annie’s week a friendly and comfortable stay.

Good value for money
Kethla house is a lovely friendly place to stay. Lovely comfortable room and very nice breakfast to start your day off. Things are slightly different due to restrictions but doesn't affect your stay in any way. Wonderfully situated between town and beach. Very attentive hosts. Parking is a bit of an issue. Only 3 spaces and they are a tight squeeze. The old victorian houses didn't have parking in mind when they were built. There are a few streets opposite that you could park in if need be. All in all a lovely stay at Kethla house

Don & Julie made us so welcome right from the start..even though we were very early! Our rooms were delightful and the breakfast , great. Kethla house is perfectly situated for a walk into town, the harbour and some lovely restaurants (though early bookingwas critical!). We had an enjoyable 3 nights at Kethla in a very clean and comfortable room on the ground floor. Strict Covid and hygiene rules in situ especially in the dining room where guests are served with a more than adequate breakfast by the very friendly and helpful hosts, Don and Julie. Limited parking to the rear of the property, a bus stop close by, a short walk to the sea and promenade.

Stayed at Kethla House for a few days in September. Great location near the sea front,free parking with 3 spaces so first come first served. We parked at the Rivierajust down the road,safe cctv car park just £7 for 24 hours. We had a ground floor superior double room, large room, nice decor. The ensuite was a later addition to the room, it was very clean, a good sink and toilet but the shower was something of a compromise. Don and Julie were very welcoming, did everything toprovide covid protection and at the same time kept it friendly and workable. Nice fresh breakfast each morning (with a relaxed friendly chat).

Myself and my partner took a short visit to Torquay. We were recommend by a friend. I can honestly say it was like home to home. When we arrived, we were greater by Don and Julie and made to feel safe with how they were managing the covid situation as well as how they took care of the rooms and guesthouse. Clean. Warm. Comfortable with beautiful decor. I would strongly recommend. You won't regret it.

We've just had a 4 night stay at Kethla House. Don and Julie are such wonderful hosts, very welcoming and friendly, and Don was great fun with his football knowledge and banter! Excellent hotel lovely and clean, close to all amenities, family room was nice and big, thehotel owners were very friendly and helpful breakfast was great too the only thing there isn't much parking space around back of hotel but there is a 24hr car park nearby and it is cheap to park there for the 24hrs

Stayed 4 nights in family room children 16 & 12 had bunk beds which were full single size. En-suite & room facilities were excellent as was the amazing cooked breakfasts. We were visiting Torquay for a few of days in June, we had accommodation for one night but hadn't booked anywhere for the second night. We had our young son with us & we're hoping to find a nice b&b to accommodate us all, which is exactly what we found! The room was spacious, comfortable & clean. Such a good price. We were with out 19 month old son & he loved it too. The owners were very nice & welcoming. Breakfast was amazing! We would definitely go back in the future.

Short half term break
We booked for 2 nights with Don and Julie and were extremely happy with all aspects of our stay. Both Don and Julie are lovely people who took great care of us. Our room was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was faultless. The house is in good walking distance to the front and there are many good places to eat out at within a 10- 15min walk. My partner and I stayed at Kethla house with our young daughter for a short weekend trip away. We were thrilled with the accommodation and were so well looked after. The room itself was immaculately presented, modern, clean, light, airy and with a tasteful colour scheme. The owners blew us away with their hospitality. They were friendly, warming and personable - really lovely people who would have gone out of their way to make our stay the best it could be. My partner had a five star home cooked breakfast and the dining room was equally as nice to sit in having been well presented and perfectly clean and bright. The owners took real care of us, were very attentive to detail and were thoughtful towards our two year old daughter. We couldn't have asked for anything more and would recommend Kethla house to anyone. We left feeling really happy and would go back and stay there again without a doubt.

A Hidden Gem
I travel around the world, a lot. I have stayed in hotels of all shapes and sizes, from £20 a night to £500 quid a night in Mayfair. But the one thing those places did not have which Kethla house does, is Andy and Lisa. They were the perfect hosts from the moment I arrived and were very attentive in the service they provided throughout my stay there. They reminded my why I hate staying in hotels that are part of a chain. No cold, "it's just a job" customer service, role play form them. They were genuine, down to earth and sincere in every aspect of the service they provided. Yes, to an extent they do so because they want you to come back. That's the name of the game in such guest houses. But when you get the kind of personal, friendly approach they provide then why would you not want to go back? The room I stayed in was excellent and serviced daily. The breakfasts were excellent. And Lisa gave me directions to the handmade chocolate factory in Cockington! What more can a guest ask for! When I left it felt like I had made friends with two very nice people rather than simply stayed at a hotel in Torquay. The next time I need a room in Torquay, Kethla House is the place I will head straight for.

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE
Just spent a wonderful week at Kethla House Torquay.From arrival, we were treated so well by Andy and Lisa, nice touch to ask our first names and to remember them too. Lovely breakfast, plenty of choice you are offered full english or whatever you fancy, they go out of their way to please. Plenty of extra toast, tea coffee or whatever you desire.We were there at an extremely hot time and a tower fan was brought into our room to help with the heat. Lovely king size bed, so comfortable, we wanted to bring it home with us. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, plenty of hot water and lovely powerful shower. Tea and coffee making facilities too.I wasn't feeling too good one day with the heat and the owners handed me some bottled water as I am unable to drink tap water.We had plenty of towel changes and linen change too. The hotel is spotlessly clean, serviced every day.Andy and Lisa went out of their way to ensure our comfort and enjoyment during our holiday and were very helpful as to where to eat and what to go and see.There is also free wifi.We were able to park at the rear of the hotel.There is also a very good bus service just around the corner.All in all a wonderful experience and we would certainly recommend Kethla House. We hope to be able to make a return visit in the near future.

A fantastic B&B
We've just returned from a 3-night stay. Lisa and Andy were very welcoming and the room (serviced daily) was excellent. Although we only had one breakfast, it was lovely. the B&B is only a short walk from the main shopping area and the beach. I would highly recommend to anybody for a short stay - it's great value for money.

Stayed here mid week for one nightas I normally use large hotel chains and the thing I noticed most was how spotlessly clean everything was. The owners were friendly and very helpful with the location only a stroll away from the seafront and shops , food etc. thoroughly recommend it well done.

Autumn school holiday
We were warmly welcomed and shown to our very clean and nicely laid out room. We stayed for five nights and Lisa and Andy were very attentive with daily servicing to the room, regular towel change and a delicious breakfast was served every morning. weekend break
The only problem was because of my elderly mother having problems in walking was that we had to walk from the lane at the back of the house around to the main door in the main street. I wasn't really keen on the idea of my car having to be parked out of viewing range, other than that we were very happy with the service we received. Excellent breakfast and really friendly hosts.

A week in Torquay .....
We stayed for a week at Ke'thla and Lisa and Andrew were the perfect hosts, friendly and obliging. The twin room we stayed in was spotless, Lisa changed the bed linen and towels after 3 days which was nice. Ke'thla is situated close to all amenities including newsagents, a great cake shop and pub with reasonably priced eveningmeals. Parking to the rear of the house made it an ideal base for exploring South Devon. We would certainly stay again and would recommend to anyone visiting Torquay.

My husband is now a B&B convert after many years of the "Old style" B&B he has had his eyes opened and we both had a superb stay with Andy & Lisa, the perfect hosts, bags taken to our spotless, very comfy room, oodles of local information at hand with discount vouchers, superly cooked breakfast, and may I say super soft toilet paper. What else could you wish for?

I've spent 3 nights with my daughter in the lovely family en suite room No. 5. I can higly recommend this one because it is on the rear side and quite. Breakfast is fantastic maybe some fresh fruit would make it even perfect! We would return at any time, hopefully we'll manage!

Lisa and Andy are great hosts, the B&B is spotlessly clean and very comfortable,we enjoyed amazing breakfasts everyday and they recommended some brilliant places for us to visit in the area. Prime location, easy walking distance to the harbour and shops. Cant wait to return!

Great B&B
The superking room is beautiful! The bed is comfortable and there are good facilities provided, with tea and coffee making bits in the room topped up everyday, along with a clean up of the room. Breakfast is lovely too! Overall, Lisa and Andrew do a great job and are so helpful and friendly. Also a nice location; only a short walk to the town or harbour. The bathroom is small but bearable.

Very good B & B
A warm welcome, extremely clean throughout and warm at all times. The breakfast was excellent and we would not hesitate a return to Kethla house the next time we go to Torquay.

Ideal Location
Lovely breakfast, room spotlessly clean and hosts Lisa and Andy couldn't do enough for us.We had to leave early to go home and didn't have time for the full breakfast so Lisa even offered to make a bacon sarnie to take for the journey.

One to keep a note of
I can't commend Kethla House highly enough. Expect genuine service with a genuine smile. Even for a lone traveller for one night, I was offered alternative parking (their own spaces were occupied) and an early breakfast - on a Saturday! No need to look anywhere else when next in or near Torquay. Excellent!

Made our holiday
FAWLTY TOWERS LIVES ON!.................But not here. ……….We stayed atthe KETHLA guest house in Torquay for eight nights in Sept . From our initial wonderful welcome from Lisa and Andy to our last breakfast and our reluctant departure everything was just as it should be. Our room was immaculately prepared and was serviced to the same high standard each day. Breakfasts were brilliant, with a choice of drinks available, and our hosts were prepared to offer less well known alternatives to suit the individual. The attention to detail, their willingness and enthusiasm to help was a master class in guest satisfaction. In the virtual world we live in it is possible to almost visit a place without actually going, what you cannot see or assess is the happy factor and this guest house had it in bucket loads. The measure of a place like this is, would you recommend it to your best friends? Would you go back? A very big yes to both.A quick scan through the visitor book will confirm our opinion.Thank you Andy and Lisa for playing a big part in the success of our holiday.

booked fairly last minute so very pleased to have booked such a lovely B&B. Lisa and Andy were very welcoming and accommodating. The room was spacious enough for the four of us with a lovely clean en-suite shower room. An enjoyable stay and would love to return.

Just returned form Torquay after 3 days what a friendly welcoming from Lisa & Andy the B&B was more than we expected the rooms were spotless and a pleasure to use rooms were kept clean and tidy & you get a decent breakfast in the morning which was very nice. Lisa and Andy went out of their way to make us welcome. The B & B is very well located we traveled by train only 5 minutes walk from the rail station the shops were just a few minutes away & only 10 minutes walkaway to the Harbour We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone staying in Torquay. Found the place very clean and tidy. The owners, Liz and Martin, were always cheerful and friendly and helpful in suppling information about the area.Prices charged were very reasonable and is only a short walk from the main town and attraction areas.We would certainly reccomend Ke'thla House to anyone who enjoys a friendly and helpful time.

4 day break
Very clean and well managed house. Friendly welcome and hosts were happy to provide local information. Good location but also quiet at night and on-site parking was very helpful to us. Comfortable beds a big plus. Good range of cereals & English cooked breakfasts superb - more than adequate although there are no extras like yogurt/fruit/porridge etc offered.Andy & Lisa were considerate of all guests and overall very happy with our stay. Property may benefit from a little updated decor/fittings.

We have just returned from our fourth visit in the last three years to this lovely little guest house.Lisa and Andy are the perfect hosts always making you very welcome and will go out of their way to make your stay there enjoyable. Lovely holiday
Myself and my wife spent a lovely two weeks at the Kethla House.From the moment we arrived when we were welcomed by Lisa to the moment we left, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Andy and Lisa were very helpful in advising us of places we could attend and also lent a booklet to us about Devon and places to visit.Breakfasts were very nice and we had a choice as to what to have if we did not wish to have a full English breakfast and tea and toast were in plentiful supply.Our room was cleaned everyday and we had four changes of bed in the time we were staying at the Guest House.Clean towels were provided on a very regular basis.This helped with our enjoyment of the Guest House.We would recommend this Guest House to anyone stopping in Torquay and I would recommend the proprietors as two of the most helpful and nice people I have known to run holiday accommodation.We arrived as strangers and I believe we left as friends.Thank you Andy and Lisa for your hospitality.

Found a Gem
This is our return visit and we travelled with our 8yr old niece. Lisa/Andy could not be more helpful and made it possible for us to bring our niece last minute. We are planning our next visit already. I must say that Kethla is the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. I am so glad that we discovered this gem and would strongly recommend it to anyone. Also, great location for visiting sites, you could leave your car and get around on foot or taxi which is located 2 minutes away. Main shops about 7 minutes walk away.
