Kethla House is located just a few minutes' walk from the seafront in Torquay which means that our guests have a superb choice of restaurants on their doorstep.

Belgrave Road (where we are based) itself boasts numerous bars and restaurants from Asian fusion restaurants to sports bars to pubs and chains. There is also a fish and chips takeaway and a Chinese takeaway within two or three minutes' walk of our front door.

Torquay Marina (about 15 minutes from us) is also home to numerous pubs, restaurants and bars.

This stylish family-owned Italian restaurant in Torquay manages to combine authentic, traditional Mediterranean food in a modern contemporary setting. Great pasta, pizza and grills and a cheerful greeting make dining here a pleasure. Great alfresco dining in the summer time and cracking beer & wine list make Amici’s perfect for a quick drink or a romantic meal. We've not yet had bad feedback from guests about Amici...

With stunning, postcard views of Torbay, relaxed, informal dining made from quality produce in a luxurious, modern, classy interior and fantastic expertly made drinks…  Pier Point is a personal favourite - just 10 minutes or so from Kethla House, right next to Princess Theatre, great views and some of the best seafood in the bay. Both a (huge) sit down restaurant, and a separate fish and chips takeaway.

The Elephant restaurant is a bright, informal seaside restaurant situated by the beautiful Torquay harbour.

Run by chef proprietor, Simon Hulstone and his wife Katy, it was the first restaurant in Torquay to be awarded a Michelin star & the only one to retain it. Which it has maintained since 2006.

The Elephant is relaxed, friendly and serves the best value Michelin starred lunch in the UK.

Tucked away just a few steps from Torquay harbour, The Orange Tree is renowned for it's seasonally changing a la carte menu offering modern British-European cuisine complemented by warm and friendly hospitality.

Elegant surroundings, crisp white table linen and candlelight create the perfect backdrop for that special occasion or just an enjoyable, relaxed evening out. The reassuring presence of the working owner, Vittorio Melis, and his belief in time-honoured values, allows you to dine safe in the knowledge, that you are well looked after.

The Stacey Family have been running this Bistro style restaurant since 1993, providing the best fresh fish and shellfish from Brixham.

Rockfish   01803 212175

Situated on Victoria Parade overlooking the inner harbour right in the centre of Torquay. Our seafood is delivered to us daily from our own boat Rockfisher, and from other boats in the Brixham fishing fleet just across the bay next door to our Rockfish restaurant there. Join us for sustainably caught, fresh, local fish landed that day which we prepare by the harbour side at dawn to be served to you by lunchtime that day.

Just five minutes' stroll from Kethla House at the bottom of Belgrave Road, Seasons Restaurant and Lounge has awarded two AA Rosettes for culinary excellence. Offers a six course evening meal at reasonable prices with a live pianist.

Innovative combinations of flavours, all dishes prepared entirely in house, locally sourced and only the most seasonal produce are used to make your experience at Seasons one to remember.

The Latin life comes to Abbey Sands, the ideal spot for enjoying our delicious Latin American menu, perfect for sharing, alongside a cocktail with views across the Riviera. Las Iguanas Torquay has all of the sizzling Latin favourites on the menu alongside a legendary cocktail menu to bring that extra sparkle to the beach. 

Our Bistrot is near the Princess theatre and provides you with the perfect space to relax with friends and family whatever the occasion, set over two floors, with a downstairs bar and a covered first floor balcony offering panoramic views of Torquay’s beach and bay whatever the weather.Upstairs, a few minutes away from the Bistrot, we have ‘ maids perch ‘ many years ago the widowed maids would look out to sea… these days it’s much more fun – in favourable weather the perch has the most magnificent views and really is best place to be in Torquay, with Live music most Saturdays. 

A Torquay institution - The Old Vienna is run by Werner Rott, a chef with nearly 50 years' experience and credentials around Europe. Here he brings his flair to combine local produce with Austrian classics. Consistent "Taste of the West" gold award winner.

With its cobbled floors and low-beamed ceilings, the Hole in the Wall has been a regular for smugglers and business people alike. Providing a traditional pub atmosphere with great food and quality beer, the Hole in the Wall aims to provide first class service with a great social experience for all. Good selection of ales to include Doom Bar,Butcombe Bitter, Otter Bitter and with as many as four changing guest beers and traditional real cider too, you will not be short of choice!
